Even a descendant of Arnold Schwarzenegger isn’t immune to struggles in the gym — especially when it comes to building shoulder muscle.
In a new Instagram video posted on Nov. 21, Schwarzenegger’s son Joseph Baena shows off his intense shoulder workout—and how he keeps his troublesome delts in line. The bodybuilder’s key strategy? He pushes himself to the limit. Period.

As if to prove his point, Baena does an intense series of standing dumbbell flys with 35-pound dumbbells. It’s pretty impressive—you can see that all-too-familiar strain at the end as Baena pushes himself to relative exhaustion.
It’s hardly the first time Baena has posted a look at how he maintains his impressive physique. In the past, he’s shared a look at how he achieves a serious pump with a classic bodybuilding move, and gave fans some insight into his back day workout. He’s even replicated some of Arnold‘s most iconic poses on occasion, calling his father the “best training partner in the world.” Hard to argue with that.
